The Jewel In Pink

This week's challenge over at Collage Obsession was Shades Of Pink.

I have to admit pink is not one of my favorite colors, but one must rise to a
challenge and so I gave it a go.

Why the Taj Mahal? When I think of pink the memory of a Nat Geo special came to mind.
A photographer visiting the site had taken the most ethereal picture of this "Crown of Palaces" bathed in the pink glow of the setting sun, I found it magical.
This is my ode to Mumtaz Muhal, favorite wife of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
Mumtaz Mahal died in Burhanpur in 1040 AH while giving birth to her fourteenth child.
Mumtaz is entombed, beside her husband within the palace.
